With Cubicle Warehouse, you don’t need to sacrifice style either, due to our wide range of colour choices on offer. When you receive your toilet cubicles, you need to ensure that you fit them correctly to make sure that you are making the most of your space. However, you don’t need to worry. With Cubicle Warehouse, it isn’t hard to fit toilet cubicles if you follow our simple guide.
Start With The Basics
The first, and most important step, before you do anything else is to ensure that you measure everything up correctly. This will mean that you don’t need to make any repairs or alterations on-site. If you do need to make alterations, the width of all of our cubicles is alterable – but we assume you’d rather not need to make any changes. The important part when measuring to fit toilet cubicles is to not be over-greedy. Don’t try to fit too many cubicles in a space. Assume that you need the maximum possible width (1000mm), and work with those dimensions.
However, because we’ve got a large product range, it is possible to find the right size and type of cubicles that will fit your space the best. In addition, if you need the cubicles to be installed on commercial premises, we can help you choose the right type if needed.
When your Toilet Cubicles Arrive
Our cubicles arrive in flat packs with the full range of necessary fittings and components. When you are fitting toilets, the first step is to familiarise yourself with what everything is and to put it all somewhere you will remember. Think of the times you’ve built flatpack furniture, and immediately forgotten where you’ve put the Allen keys. Before you fit your toilet cubicles, figure out which part is which, and put them where you need them. To familiarise yourself further, consult our detailed instruction manuals.
Below is a general outline highlighting how to install our toilet cubicle hardware.
First steps to installing toilet cubicle fittings
The first major step is to measure where the panels of your cubicles need to go. Consult the detailed diagram in the instruction manual (you may have received it with the cubicle) for greater detail. Then, you need to drill and fit your wall fixings. Make sure to use appropriate wall fittings. This might be rawlplugs, plasterboard fittings, or other alternatives. You will receive U-brackets with all our featured products, which should be used to firmly attach the cubicle to the wall.
Pilasters and Partitions
Take the centre pilasters, and fix them onto the U-brackets at the end of the cubicle partitions. Repeat this for each of the cubicle panels you are using – this will depend upon the number of partitions you need. Then, take your wall pilasters and fix them to the wall, using the U-brackets you have previously installed. Fit the legs at the base of the partition, and adjust to the same height. You may need to use a block of wood or the like to hold the partition up temporarily.
Head Rails
You are almost done with fitting your toilet cubicle. Once the partitions are up, you need to fix the doors. Fit the cubicle head rail, ensuring that the front fittings are lined up with the rear fittings on the wall.
Hinges and Doors
Finally, fit the supplied hinges and locks onto the door. It is important to do this before hanging the door, as it will make it easier overall if you don’t need to fiddle. Then, hang the doors onto the pilasters. Once everything is properly fitted and square, you can fit the feet onto the toilet cubicle bases which ensures they firmly grip the floor.
It is not overly difficult to fit toilet cubicles, especially if you follow the detailed instructions laid out in our instruction manuals.
